Lieuwe van Gogh brings colour into the night. The Amsterdam-born painter and descendant of Vincent van Gogh has developed a signature style as bold and uncontainable as the name he carries. Working with squeeze bottles and cutlery, he builds his paintings fast and physically, layering colour onto horizontal canvases in a process that is as much performance as it is craft. The result: explosive, unapologetically expressive work that is impossible to ignore.

For his exhibition at Night Gallery, Van Gogh presents REBIRTH. Set inside a nightclub, a space defined by darkness, energy and transformation, the work takes on a new dimension. Here, amongst the music and the movement, his paintings come alive in a context that feels made for them.
